Goodness, aren’t shoes a gal’s best friend?! If so, then your wedding shoes need to be your BFF! A pair of shoes can make or break your day, so be sure to choose wisely! Bridal shoes play a crucial role in your wedding day experience, and they should not only be stylish but also functional! Considering that weddings often involve long hours on your feet, from the ceremony to the reception, and many moments where all eyes are on you- the shoe stakes are high, and you want to choose wisely! The right pair really can help you enjoy your special day. In this blog you’ll find an up-to-date list of recommendations by Sarah Kolis based on what brides are currently bringing into alterations appointments, as well as some tips and tricks! At the end of this blog you will find a bridal shoe shopping guide, and perhaps have it handy when shoe shopping!
Don’t forget to break in your shoes ahead of time! New shoes can cause discomfort and blisters, so wear them around your house to ensure they’re comfortable for the big day. A little preparation can go a long way in avoiding unnecessary pain.
It is VITAL that your pick out your shoes ASAP! If you’ve found the dress and booked alterations (You can do that here BTW!) you NEED to get. shoe-shopping! Do not wait! Shoes are unique in that you have to wear them to really know if they are right or not, and you’ll need more than a 5 minute in-store try-on to really know! You not only want to have time to really break them in, but also to return/exchange/find another option- and all BEFORE your 1st bridal fitting. You have to have your shoes for your bridal fitting, or an EXACT heel height match for the fitting. This helps us get the hem and fit of your dress perfect, so we need you to bring your exact bridal shoes. If for some reason you do not have them or forget them, we would rather you book a different appointment time where you’re able to bring them. All of that said, here are the recommendations!
Here’s a selection of my favorite bridal shoes for the upcoming year, designed with comfort and style in mind. Each pair is chosen to cater to different wedding themes and personal styles, ensuring there’s something for every bride.

As the wedding day approaches, ensure you’ve done a final check on your bridal shoes. Have you broken them in? Do they fit well with your dress? Have you chosen the right pair for your venue? A final fitting with your shoes is essential to ensure you’re completely comfortable and confident as you walk down the aisle.
Your bridal shoes are more than accessories—they’re part of your story. Choose a pair that speaks to your personality, supports your feet, and adds beauty to your walk down the aisle!!! Your shoes can also reflect your personality. If you’re a fun and quirky individual, don’t shy away from unique designs or bold colors. On the other hand, if you prefer classic elegance, go for timeless styles that will remain stylish for years to come. And DON’T FORGET, bring your shoes to your bridal fitting with Sarah Kolis!! You will need to reschedule if you do not have them!!
