  • Veil and any other accessories you wish to try on with your dress!
  • Guests: Yes they may come! We do not give a limit but suggest no more than 3 people. However, it is very important that you all arrive in preferably just one car for parking purposes, as this is a residential space. We would rather you be just a few minutes late than arrive in several cars.

This is for AFTER the wedding! At your fitting, you will also have the opportunity to purchase and take home (same day!) a cleaning and preservation kit from the Wedding Gown Preservation Co. These kits are the best option (and value!) for professionally cleaning and preserving your wedding dress, and for my brides, they are discounted if purchased in person, at your fitting!

Steaming removes wrinkles! After your bridal alterations are completed, you have the option to add a professional steaming for your gown and/or veil! Should you do this, your gown will be prepped and ready to go for your 2nd fitting!

Your dress is PERFECT! It is THE dress you said “YES!” to for a reason, now let’s get it fitted perfectly to YOUR body! Alterations really do make quite the difference in your overall bridal look, and they will only enhance your natural beauty! Truly the best way to know what to expect at your upcoming appointment is to follow Sarah on instagram @sarahkolisdesigns, listen to The Dressing Up podcast, or peruse Sarah’s blog.

On each of these platforms Sarah gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the alterations process, from what typical alterations are needed, examples of custom work, and she gives you some new vocabulary so you know what to expect! For example, most brides will need a bustle added to their dress, and Sarah breaks down the different types here and on her “bustles” Instagram highlight so you can already know which type is your favorite!!

IMPORTANT: Please look for the WHITE PLASTIC MAILBOX at the end of the driveway. Your GPS may not bring you to the exact location.

There is a neighboring house with a very similar entrance, so please double-check the address before driving up the driveway. You will see Sarah’s mailbox before you see the house.

Sarah gets asked quite often for day-of help, and is going full-force in offering the BEST service to brides to ensure the gowns are prepped to absolute perfection on the biggest day of your life!! 

Day-of bridal fashion styling is the assistance of a bridal fashion expert/seamstress (Sarah!) on your big day. This includes full steaming of the gowns, prepping them for the photographer, availability of Sarah’s sewing skills on-hand and much more! This way, you and your girls can focus solely on enjoying your relaxing morning getting ready! 

 Think of it as the cherry on top of an already-perfect day!

Custom Veils $400+

A custom veil created by Sarah Kolis herself of the best quality fabrics to perfectly coordinate with your gown! the options for your veil are endless but Sarah can help you to decide the perfect length, color, cut, shape, width, trim, etc. Especially if you plan to have alterations done with Sarah Kolis, you can confirm all these details in person at your 1st fitting. For now, feel free to book this veil option online to ensure this space in Sarah’s workload to be completed before your wedding! Pricing begins at $400 for a plain veil.

Holiday Ornament $30

Ask Sarah at your 1st fitting if there will be enough leftover hem fabric to create a cute little holiday ornament from the extra fabric from your gown! This is a really cute little memory of your gown to hang on your Holiday tree, or simply just on display in your home! Not shown here is an optional “2024” or “2025” charm to be sewn onto the heart as well.
