As we count down the final days to Angela’s wedding, we recently gathered together for a beautiful celebration that reflected her heart so perfectly—her bridal shower. Hosted with so much love by family and friends, it was one of those sun-soaked, memory-filled days we’ll never forget.
A Shower Designed Around Angela
When I think of Angela’s personal style, the words that come to mind are soft, classic, romantic, and whimsical, and PURPLE. We wanted her bridal shower to reflect just that—and every detail did.
Held at the cozy and charming Red Dot Coffee in Northville, Michigan, the space was the perfect backdrop for an afternoon filled with joy and celebration. From the delicate florals by @thefloweralley to the custom “Bride” banner by Alex E, the entire space felt like stepping into a pastel garden party.

There were sweet nods to Angela’s style in every detail—the sweet floral arrangements, the soft color palette, and the adorable cake from @bellaedolcecakes (almost too pretty to eat!). It was truly a celebration full of beauty, love, and intention.

The Custom Dress—Sewn with Sisterly Love
One of my favorite parts of this day? Designing and sewing Angela’s custom @sarahkolisdesigns bridal shower dress.
Angela’s custom made Sarah Kolis dress featured an eyelet cotton, scalloped edges, tiered skirt, bow, open back, pockets?! Life doesn’t get much better than that!! The dress turned out to be such a reflection of her—feminine, light, and filled with personality.
There’s something incredibly special about designing for my sisters. With each stitch, I thought about the journey we’ve shared—growing up together, supporting one another, and now getting to walk through these big life moments side by side. Watching Angela wear that dress, surrounded by people who love her, was an unforgettable moment for me.

Another Excuse For a Me-Made Dress!
Of course, I couldn’t resist making something special for myself to wear to the shower, too! I designed and sewed my own structured lilac mini dress using beautiful fabric from @habermanfabrics, underlined with nylon mesh—fun fact: it’s actually leftover fabric from making my own wedding dress six years ago! I paired it with a purple poly for the inner layer, and the silhouette was all about structure and volume. It felt so playful and architectural—not touching my legs at all! Designing a dress that was unique, modern, and just a little whimsical was the perfect way to celebrate such a joyful occasion alongside my sister.

A Room Full of Joy
Angela’s bridal shower was more than just beautiful—it was filled with love, laughter, and connection. From heartfelt conversations to thoughtful gifts, the day was truly about celebrating the amazing woman she is and the exciting season ahead.
Captured so beautifully by @brittany_allen, the photos are a treasure trove of emotion and joy. From warm hugs to wide smiles, every image tells the story of a day full of meaning.
We played light-hearted games, enjoyed delicious treats, and spent time soaking in the sweetness of this in-between season—where the anticipation of the BIG DAY is high! One of my favorite parts was seeing everyone come together to celebrate Angela in a way that felt so personal and intentional.
